About the Project:

Apollo Cinemas is the UK’s largest independent cinema chain. Entertainment is their blood: it is part of a long history in leisure and theatre.

Today they engage and delight customers with everything from blockbusters to ballet, live music and sport. They are growing and changing, updating cinemas and building new ones.

Apollo cinemas want to be a place you can enjoy and spend a little more time in, which is why they are adding cafés, bars, gaming areas and Wi-Fi wherever they can.

Project Challenges:

GPT identified that by changing the size of container used by Apollo Cinemas from 1100 Euro wheelie bins to larger Front End Loaded containers; we could make a significant saving on cost and carbon footprint.

The collections were reduced from daily to once a week.

Within 12 months of commencing the service GPT saved this client more than £20,000 whilst greatly improving their recycling rate.
